What is SS310 stainless steel?
SS310 is an austenitic stainless steel with about 25% chromium and 20% nickel. That high alloy content lets it hold its strength and resist scaling at temperatures where common grades like 304 and 316 break down, which is why it is the standard choice for furnace and heat-treatment equipment.
310S is the low-carbon version (0.08% max). It welds more easily and resists corrosion better after welding. In China the same grade is often called 2520, after its 25% chromium and 20% nickel. Tell us which version your drawing calls for, and we'll quote to that exact grade.

Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between SS310 and SS310S?
Both have the same chromium and nickel. 310S has lower carbon (0.08% max against 0.25%), so it is easier to weld and less prone to corrosion at weld zones. For most welded fabrication, 310S is the usual choice.
Do you provide a mill test certificate?
Yes. Material is supplied with a mill test certificate showing heat number, chemistry and mechanical results.
How long does delivery to the UAE take?

Is SS310 better than SS304 for high temperature?
Yes. 304 starts scaling heavily above about 870 °C, while 310 resists oxidation up to about 1150 °C in continuous service.

Is SS310 magnetic?
No. SS310 is austenitic, so it is non-magnetic in the annealed condition. Cold working may make it very slightly magnetic.
